Non-Military Spouses develop PTSD Symptoms similar to Husbands

Finally, the word seems to be getting out in the mass media that, surprisingly enough, non-military spouses develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress (PTSD) after their husbands’ return from deployment. Rather shocked, reporters have been questioning how could spouses who have not fought overseas develop symptoms of post-combat stress (PTSD) similar to their husbands?

It needs to be pointed out that the emotional toll on spouses during their husbands’ deployment tends to be underestimated–not only by husbands, but by the public at large. During the deployment, spouses have to fight their own inner battles, to suppress the fear whether their husbands will return alive.

Let me mention one example: When her husband finally returned back home, overjoyed, the spouse sighed with relief. Then, she discovered that he seemed preoccupied and appeared distant. She realized he was no longer the man she fell in love with. She tried her very best, poured all her love into the relationship. Despite her attempts, it did not work. Why was he so removed, drove recklessly, drank too much?

The fear for her own life set in one night. Screaming on top of his lungs, seemingly back in the war zone, her husband mistook her for the enemy. She barely escaped his firm grip and locked herself in the bathroom. From then on, she was on high alert too. She pressured her husband to seek treatment in order to resolve his trauma and heal his symptoms of PTSD. The painstaking road to healing PTSD began. Angry uncontrolled outbursts, panic, depression threatened to tear the relationship apart.

This seemingly never ending fight with PTSD tends to occur when the war energies, brought back home, are not being resolved.

Considering the enormous emotional toll that is demanded by spouses during and after deployment, I have been recommending to couples to listen to the “Healing PTSD Trauma” CDset together in the privacy of their home. It will facilitate inner bonding between the couple and is intended to lead to a dialogue while healing their trauma and their similar symptoms of PTSD. The energies of war will be transmuted. Their vibrational energies will be balanced. Their deep-seated feelings will be healed. A solid foundation will have been formed to rebuild their relationship. In addition, the wonderful tool “Restabilize Your Energy” will give the couple the opportunity to transmute any new disharmonious energies from family, friends, the outside world on a daily basis. It only takes a few minutes, however, through mutual support, it will fortify the inner bond between spouses even more.

If, as a couple, you are committed to healing PTSD, to improve the quality of your life, and be the best you can be in your loving relationship, then, the CDset “Healing PTSD Trauma” is a dream come true.
