Preventing Suicide

WHY WOULD A YOUNG HERO COMMIT SUICIDE? Have you asked yourself this question?

In Memory of Clay Warren Hunt and all the other War Heroes who have served our country in patriotic duty and could no longer tolerate to live among us.
Why would a young war hero who seems to have everything going for him give up on life?

– Could it be because PTSD/trauma came home with our hero?
– Does our hero feel unbearable shame and guilt over events which happened on foreign land?
– Has he lost buddies over there and blames himself for their death?
– Did his buddies die through friendly fire?
– Does he feel, he should have died, instead of his buddies?
– Does our hero feel drawn to join his buddies on the other side?
– Could he feel guilty for having caused the death of innocent civilians, adults and children alike?
– Has our hero been the victim of military rape?
– Does our hero feel alienated from everybody?
– Have family conflicts become too difficult to handle in addition to the invisible wounds?
– Has our hero been abandoned by spouse or lover?– Has our hero or heroine become homeless?
– Has our hero lost faith in himself and the world?– Does our hero feel as if he had lost his soul?
– Are you aware that certain depression drugs are associated with increased risk of suicide?
– Did our hero take to the bottle, misused drugs to drown emotional and physical pain?

– All of the above, or even more?

–  Exposure to the suicidal behavior of others
–  Keeping firearms in the house
–  Prior suicide attempts
– Chronic physical illness, including pain
– Incarceration
– Violence, physical/sexual abuse
– Family history of suicide, mental disorder, substance abuse.

– Our hero might say: “It would be better, if I was not around”.
– Feeling helpless, hopeless, worthless
– Saying “I want out”, “I’m tired of Life”
– Having a death wish, tempting fate: e.g. running red lights, driving too fast.
– Thinking or talking about suicide
– Sudden, unexpected switch from deep sadness to extreme happiness.
– Clinical depression: loss of interest, increasing loss of appetite and sleep, deep sadness.
– Visiting, calling people to say good-bye.

– Take our hero seriously.
– Listen to what the individual has to say.
– Ask what our hero is planning to do.
– Do not leave the individual alone.
– Depending on the situation call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or take the person to a health care professional or the emergency room. If all else fails, call 911.
– Be supportive in a very understanding way.

Healing War Trauma

Transmute the Energies Which Nourish Your PTSD Trauma

Christel B. D’Agostino, MSW, LCSW-R, CtH

Longitudinal studies of World War II and holocaust survivors have shown that  war trauma (PTSD) leaves a lasting mark. It does not fade with age.

The research proved that some traumatized individuals had been misdiagnosed and had been treated for depression. Some physicians had also indicated that they had wanted to spare the survivor emotional pain. For that reason, they had never touched the subject of war or camp. Other war trauma survivors had apparently given their doctors evasive answers. If it had not been for the surveys, the trauma survivors might have never known that they had been experiencing post-traumatic stress.

Many trauma survivors have not had the good fortune to resolve their PTSD for good, even though they had completed psychotherapy successfully and it looked as if they were free of PTSD. Yet, months or years later, the enemy within, PTSD, attacked with full force again. It has happened to Vietnam vets.

The Vietnam war ended in 1975. The term post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) had not even been coined yet. Alternate treatment approaches for PTSD had not reached public awareness. Many of the new kinds of therapies did not exist.

I had introduced my Universal Vibrational Therapy™ in 1992.  I had created it about two years earlier to resolve my war trauma. I have been symptom-free for the last twenty years. The nightmares of soldiers pointing guns at me have stopped. I had transmuted the energies which had nourished the trauma symptoms. I felt there was more to it. I realized I did not trust my unconscious. It might invite enemy energies back as old friends or even welcome new toxic energies out of old habit. The only thing that came to mind was to clear my energy field whenever my gut signaled me to. First, to analyze what the signal was all about and then to transmute the energy. Do you want to experience my Universal Vibrational Therapy™ transmute any traumatic issues that you might have had in your life?

It will transform your symptoms of trauma and PTSD.The CD ‘Healing PTSD Trauma’ comes with a Companion CD ‘Restabilize Your Energy’ to strengthen your energy, if you were to be deployed once again.  As a bonus Success Strategies are included to help you to transform self-defeating behavior patterns into powerful skills to master your life, to adopt a positive mindset.
